  2. Everyone-Remember the exposition includes characters, setting, central conflict, theme and background. Some of you do not have enough detail to demonstrate comprehension of the exposition.

  4. The exposition of The Book Thief tells the story of a young girl named Leisel Meminger and how she develops a passion for reading and must steal books to keep her passion of reading from German Nazis in WWII. I enjoy the theme of WWII because there are many stories about the Nazis and the fact that they were real makes me want to know more about them.

  6. The expostion of the Book Thief starts out with Liesel Meminger's mother taking her and her brother to a foster home during the sart of World War ll. On the train to their new home, Liesel's brother begans to cough untill he no longer coughs, breaths, or moves; he died. At the site of where the lifelss body of her innocent borther is burried, Liesel unexpectedly begains her string of book stealings. When the man who dug her brothers grave unknowling drops a book in the cold, icey snow, Liesel retreives it. This would give her the name Book Thief.
After arriving to her foster parents and departing from her mother the book, The Grave Diggers Hand book, becomes her last memory of her mother and brother. In her new foster home Mr. and Mrs. Hubberman are, well, very different people. Mr. Hubberman is intorduced as a communist. He plays the accordion and is always being critised by her crazy wife. Mrs. Hubberman loves to argue, cant cook, and beats liesel and is verbaly hatefull. The new life of Liesel begins.

I can connect to Mr. Hubberman, even though it may sound strang. He is a kind hearted person and truly loves Liesel. He teaches her to read in the middle of the night which is something I would do, I'm a night owl. He also is very willing to sacrifice anything for his new daughter, exactly what im like when it comes to my niece.

  7. Students!
Please remember that all of your connections don’t have to be personal and direct. For example, you can just tell how this book relates to another book, movie, TV show, or court case. You can reflect on how your goals are similar or different than a character’s goals or actions. You can compare/ contrast the theme, setting, character struggles, or character interests. The list goes on and on…the point is to make an aspect of your post unique from your peers’.

In addition, please check over your work for spelling errors, conventions errors, and unclear thoughts. Your classmates are going to be responding to what you say as well, so please make your postings clear! Some of these are a mess to read!

    Keep posting!
