  6. Students!
Please remember that all of your connections don’t have to be personal and direct. For example, you can just tell how this book relates to another book, movie, TV show, or court case. You can reflect on how your goals are similar or different than a character’s goals or actions. You can compare/ contrast the theme, setting, character struggles, or character interests. The list goes on and on…the point is to make an aspect of your post unique from your peers’.

In addition, please check over your work for spelling errors, conventions errors, and unclear thoughts. Your classmates are going to be responding to what you say as well, so please make your postings clear! Some of these are a mess to read!

    Keep posting!

  9. One of the conflicts in my book is that the two main characters Andy and Glory have dreams of making it big. Andy wants to play his new style of music to the world. Glory a.k.a Andy's girlfriend wants to go t the olympics and play softball. The problem is that they are not at thier peak unless the other is there with them.

  10. If i were to determine whether my book was realistic i would say it is a little of both. It seems realistic because it describes a teenage boy who wants to play his new style of music to the world. Then there is the girlfriend who dreams of playing softball in the Olympics. what doesn't seem realistic is a man that invades the life of the main character by going into the dreams of his girlfriend and some how knowing every single detail of his life.

  12. 1)I believe the author wrote this book because he has been through similar situations. I also believe the author had a dream at one point in his life, so he decided to write a book about other people having a dream.

    2) Yes, I think my book is realistic because the author describes in vivid detail about the characters surroundings.

  13. If I were to give the book, Under the Baseball Moon, a rating I would give it a 7. One part I really liked in the book was when Andy, The main character, had to decide weather to say at his concert and have a chance at stardom or go to his girlfriend’s softball game and help her win the Fire cracker tournament. Something I dislike about the book is that whenever there is dialogue sometimes the author does not tell you who is speaking. I would recommend this book to anyone who thinks reading is boring because once you start with his book might just finish that same day. I personally think it should be on the literature circle next year because the plot is easy to follow along with and relatable. Fir example in the book Andy wants to finally be know outside of his town for his new style of music. Even though he became distracted by his girl friend, he still manages somehow to make everyone dreams come true.

Under the Baseball Moon was an overall good book, and I would have to rate the book a 6.5 There were several parts that I found intriguing in the book, but the best part to me was the part where Andres stated that he had fallen in love with Glory. What I disliked about the book was that in some chapters the characters left you "hanging" with unanswered questions. I would most definitely recommend this book to a reader who enjoys reading books with romance. I think Under the Baseball Moon deserves to be put in the literature circle list next year because it was a good book and can relate to a lot of teenagers lifestyle of having a romance with a boy/girl like for example when once again Andres stated he was in love with Glory at such a young age and was determined to being so committed to each other.

  15. Under The Baseball Moon was a really good book to me. I would rate this book a 7.5 because in the beginning it took alittle to long to get into. My favorite part in the book is when Andy realizes he's madly in love with Glory. For example he describes her as being wild, extremly hyper, and very determined. What I dislike about the book is that it keeps me guessing as in leaving me wondering what's going to happen next. I would recommend this book to people who like reading about romance and alittle drama. Yes, this book should be in the literature circle next year. I say this because I believe alot of teenagers can relate to these issues and specific situations. For example, when Andy and Glory were sitting on a bench gazing at the stars, talking about how they'll never leave each other and always be there for one another.
