i like the way that is really mysterious and the way is written.I never read a book that was written as a movie.i wish it was a real movie.i wanna get to the end to see if Steve actually killed the person.
ReplyDeleteokay i agree with ivan i think they need to make a movie. its a really good book from what ive read so far. i like it alot, its like so many of the tv shows only reading about something like thats makes it seem more alive more real. and it takes alot of work to think of everything as much as the writer did in this book.
ReplyDeletei like this book because it describes everything so good that i can see it in my head. this bok tells real events that be happening in jail.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ivan and Emily because as well this book is really interesting in the way it's written i really enjoy reading it!
ReplyDeleteI concur! It is very challenging to write a book that keeps the reader's attention, especially one that is written like a screen play. Have you ever read anything else by Walter Dean Myers? I typically find students who like this book like many of his other novels. You should check them out!
ReplyDeletewell to answer the next question. you have to keep up with this book, its very hard so you have to make sure that your paying atention. the main person within the book is steve and how sometimes he ends up doughting his self. so you dont really no if he did any thing because steve goes back and forth he says he didnt do anything and then he acts as if he did.
ReplyDeletei've read this book before, last year in seventh grade. its a really good book! && it seems like something that could've happened right down the street from us
ReplyDeletei liked this book it kept my attention though the whole book and it was fun to read i hope other peop]e have as much fun reading this book as i did
ReplyDeleteI Loved this book so much it was just really interesting&& attention grabbing. What Steve had to deal with was very hard&& i know i couldnt do it at all. This is a good book&& what happened in it could happen to anybody !
ReplyDeletei like this book...its a really good book and i like the way it is setup, like an actual movie....if there waz an actual movie on this book i would so go see this in the movies.....♥
ReplyDeleteOMG ! The ending of this book had me almost in tears i just knew he was going too jail but he didnt and i was so happy i couldnt stop reading it this book is really good.
ReplyDeleteBoBo is really starting to get on my nerves he keep on making it seem like steve had something to do with the robbery and bring him closer too king but i really dont think he did anything !
ReplyDeletewell so far this is a good book, it really has u going there u dont no what to think if is goin to jail or if he's innocent, it makes u wanna keep reading to find out
ReplyDeletei also agree with ivan and emily this would be a great movie to watch and a also agree with Mrj this would be a very challenging book to write
ReplyDeletei really lliked this book. it describes every thing very well. you could image every thing that is goin on in the book. Id recoment this book for someone who was gone through what steve gone through.
ReplyDeleteThe book to me was good. I had a little trouble understanding some parts. How Steve set the book up as a movie script was a little hard to get used to but I liked the book over all. It have a very good tone throughout it and I would recommend it to other people if they enjoy reading about things that really can go on in everyday life.
ReplyDeletethis is a really interesting book.i can connect with the characters because one of my frind from mexico almost went through the same situation steve has gone through.i cant wait to get to the end of the book i wanna know what really happened and if steve is guilty or not!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTo me Steve Harmons character is the most interesting but yet confusing. In the begging you see him feeling like he is innocent when everyone sees him as a monster. I can relate to this character because even though he is put in this position as if he did something wrong, he knows and feels that he is innocent. To me I just felt he was hanging out with the wrong people at the wrong place, at the wrong time.
ReplyDeleteI finished this book in 2 days it is really good !&& if you havent read it than you should !
ReplyDeleteGreat Comments!
ReplyDeleteInteresting perspective on his guilt or innocence Chamberlain.
Do you guys think being at a crime scene makes you guilty or innocent? What does the law say?
i herd alot about this book i would read it but i get scared easy i dont know how im scared of a book and im not scared of the dark lolx yea but imma read it one day
ReplyDeletei rate this book with a ten because it connects to the reader and it keeps your attention the whole time you read and it is in a different format than all the other books
ReplyDeletei think the character that is one of the most intresting is probly steve. he gets cought up in this mess just because of hanging with the wronge people. it also catches my eye when steves little brother asks him what super hero would you be? and then also says well i think u'd be a very cool super hero. i wonder what must he be thinkin while he is behind bars about his little brother? what must the little brother thinking?
ReplyDeletei think steve harmon is the most important character. he goes to jail for something he didnt do. i relate to him because i got blamed for stuff i didnt do
ReplyDeletethe only part of the book that was worth reading was the end. I thought that the book was going from jail to court more often. i would rate the book with maybe a 8 and maybe let the upcoming 7th graders read it.
ReplyDeletei rate this book a 7 because it mostly talks about them being in court. i thought the book would be mostly about jail. i like how it descrbes everything in detail but it would have been better if they would have talked more about being in jail.
ReplyDeleteone character that was puzzling to me was osvaldo because he couldnt make up his mind about who he was scared of.
ReplyDeletei love this book. its very interesting and it has very good details and i feel like im there.
ReplyDeleteI think the main character could maybe talk a little more in the court room.but i think its a good book.
I agree with Kimberly's point of view on Steves character. I certainly don't know how I would feel if I was behind bars about my little brother. I can relate to that because I have a little brother. Being put in such a stressful position must have been really hard for him.
ReplyDeleteI agree with chamberlain because Steve Harmon can be both interesting though confusing at the same time. The thing that caught my eyes was when Steve's brother asks him what super hero you would be? Its very sad to look at the fact that Steve's little brother looks at him as a super hero, even though he is in jail.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question Mrs. Jacobs about do you guys think being at a crime scene makes you guilty or innocent? What does the law say? I personally think it makes you look like a suspect to the law. But does not necessarily mean you committed any crime. If you didn't do anything, Your guilty for being there and innocent for not doing anything. If you had nothing to do with the crime then this really shows that you need to watch out for the people you hang around, It has a big effect on how people look at you.
ReplyDeleteI agree with both Emily and Ivan because since the book is interesting as its writtin, i can imagine how it would be if it was actually a movie. Even though its sometimes hard to understand the book because of how its writtin but thats the whole point of why it makes the book interesting. I remember when Steve's dad was in the coart room crying because he didn't want to see Steve in jail at that age.
ReplyDeleteI rate this book as a 10 because this book is really interesting once you get to understand how it's written. I feel that the students next year will love to read this book as well as i did even though i didn't get it at the beginning it got interesting!
ReplyDeleteI MISS your class sssssooooooooo much!!!!!!! I love you Mrs.Jacobs (tears)
