  1. I think it is a mix of a novel and a text book. It has information on the brain and history of medical customs and then it tells the story about Phineus. I like it because of that but it sometimes gets boring becuase I feel I am reading for school.

  2. This book has been very interesting so far. The author goes into very deep detail about everything that occurs. This information keeps you into the book and helps understand all the medical terms used. This story is quite a miracle and i'm amazed that we haven't heard of it before this book. This story of Phineas Gage redifined the way that doctors research brain science. This story is both educational and fun to read. The only bad thing is that it's a VERY short read. I love it.

  3. I pick this book because I wanted to find out why Phineas Gage lived after an iron rod went through his head. As I continue to read this book I learn some facts about the human brain, and other facts about the human body. So, I like this book so far because...it is just so interisting! =]

  4. I am glad you are enjoying the book. Do you often find that you like nonfiction or a mix of fiction and nonfiction? Do any of you read Popular Science magazine? I think you would like it.

  7. i think the most interesting main idea is when a tamping iron went through his head. i like stories when something so unreal happens. i mean i dont wish that Phineas got a rod through his head but these kind of things really interest me.

  9. i just finished Phineas Gage and i think it was an o.k book. i think i would have like it more if they had less science in it. idk i just was not into that science stuff they were talking about. so it was just an o.k book to me.

  10. The most interesting idea from this book was when Phineas got the tamping iron shot through his head and survived and also while he was rehealing himself. How his personality changed and how he acted towards people. Another one was when he was about to die. How he had multiple seizure that resulted in his death was interesting. ⌐.⌐ ♥♠♣♦

  14. I think if you do use this book next year it would be perfect for the kids who love science or want to be in the medical field, but if you don't then i don't think that anyone would be upset. i also think you should do a mini survey next year to see what kind of genres the kids like. so you know what book to use.

  15. i definetly think that you should use this book next year. Anyone interested in medical fields or interested in popular science will like this book very much so, just as i have liked it.
This book is a 7 out of 10. It has the potential to be a 10 but it's so short and such an easy read that it's hard to stay connected with the story.

  16. I finish the book about Phineas Gage a while ago. Overall I really like the book. The part about Phineas Gage was really interesting, but when they weren’t taking about Phineas Gage it was a little boring.
