  2. This book is really interesting, it really makes you wonder. The plot and the experiments make you want the book to be nonfiction. I agree with Ahmad, people should write more books like this.

  5. I think this book is very relatable to many people. Almost everyone in this world feels alone and invisable at some points in their life. Also, this is a great book for bullys to read so they know just how they make others feel. THis is also just a great book to read as is. It's funny and entertaining. If it was a series, i'd buy all of them - even if i had to spend my own money to get the books!

  6. honestly, i didnt particularly like neal shustermans way of writing. it just wasnt my style. but hey, everybodys different so i can easily see why others like him. and i did find the plot very interesting. and i enjoyed his powerful imagination (half invisible boy lol).
and i agree with gracie and ahmad - more people should write books like this.

  8. I am glad most of you are enjoying the book. Amber, I like the deeper meaning you found in the invisible, but not invisible Schwa. I am sure everyone can relate to feeling "invisible".

  10. Rachel- my favorite character is also the Schwa,
its so weird how even Antsy who's doing his best to keep Calvin in his mind, also forgets about him and his thoughts trail off to a whole other subject when he's thinking about the Schwa.

  12. This book is very interesting because the Schwa is invisible in a way. Most people don't notice him but Antsy Does. The Schwa Forms a frienship with Antsy and a lot of awkward, weird, funny things happen in this book

  13. The character that I like the most is Antsy. The plot that I like the most is the one with the Schwa's mom. The theme that I liked the most is the one that says if unoticed doesn't mean unwanted. My favorite setting is in Crawleys apartment.
I sometimes am unoticed when I wanted to be noticed.

  16. I actually did enjoy this book alot. Its funny a very funny book.

the character that liked the most waz Lexie, for some reason. My favorite plot is when Lexie is trying to find a way to change her grandfather. The theme I liked the most is the one that says: just because you are half invisible doesn't mean I'm not your friend. My favrite setting is when Lexie and Atsy are trying to get the Schwa to go to Waldbaum's supermarket.

I think I'm unnoticed sometimes, but I like it because that way I'm not the middle of attention:)

  27. When I read the book last time it was pretty cool. Really weird and hard to keep up with to me sometimes. I did like all the scenes and things mentioned here though. Those were some of the really good parts.
Those and all the experiments! : )

  28. I think the most puzzling character is the schwa because no ones knows anything about him or even know he exist. No one knows what happened to his mom or where he lives or ever seen him.

i agree with ahmad. my favorite character was Ansty. i get why for most people it would probably be the schwa. but i gotta admit, i admired how antsy was so concerned about the schwa. and there were so many times where he put others ahead of himself. there arent many people like that now-a-days (:

  36. The character that most intrests me in the book The Schwa Was Here is Mr. Crawley. He most intrests me because he has a really bad reputation but when you get to know him, he's not as hard as people make him out to be. He has a hard outer shell and a soft inside to certain things, like his grandaughter Lexie.

I conncet with this novel beacause sometimes I see people in general who try to act hard like Mr. Crawley, but really they just want attention.

Rating this book froom 1-10, I give this book a ten because it was very humorous, but at the same time it's very intersting and mysterious. This book is very unpredictable and you have to read the whole book to get a full understanding of it.

  40. The most interesting plot is at the beginning of the book at Antsy and his friends are trying to distroy the plastic man that his dad brought in from his work and he told his son to go ahead and try to break the plastic man because it would be very hard to break him. Then Antsy and his friends walk down to the creek below the bringe and they keep trying to break him but it doesn't work and all of the sudden the swcha shows up out of no where as they say in the book but he was there the whole entire time while they were trying to break the plastic man.
