  3. This book was the worst book ever...but it wasn't the greatest....I read it like...last time we did book talk group things...and it was very confusing... :/ and kinda boring

  4. the most puzzling is how the slaves got to dance every saturday night. that was sometthing that i thought was puzzling. really great book.

  5. i can connect with this novel because my ancsetors were slaves and all my life i have heard stories about slaves and this novel gives me better knowledge of that.

  7. What was puzzling to me was how the slaves were able to sneak out into a secret house and sing and pray and dance all night long without getting found.

  8. i give the book a 9.5. mainly because when the slaves stories were put into the book, no words were changed and it showed how slaves talked back then because they couldn't learn.

  9. I think all types of students should be able to read this next year because it shows how hard it was back then. and now a days everyone complains about the smallest things.
